tĪMATA
start
kia ora. e harikoa ana taku ngākau ki te whakawhanaungatanga ki a koe
my heart is happy to make your acquaintance
i was once a young māori boy in a small town called kawerau, although now, i am a little older, i find myself in a town that can be described as paradise, noosa
i have moved many places and have lived many lives but one thing has stuck around - my love for photography and videography
weddings have always been my favourite
i don’t take myself too serious. no one likes a photographer who feels stiff and unapproachable. i’ve been told i blend into the crowd and become apart of the family by the end of the day
a brofressional
i love all parts of the wedding day. the love, charm, cheesiness, banter, soft moments, intimacy, chaos, and all the rest
but what i find i’m most drawn to are the people
there’s a saying in the māori language
he aha te mea nui o te ao?
he tangata
he tangata
he tangata
what is the best thing in the world?
it is the people
the people
the people
and i firmly believe that
your wedding day is one of the few days where you have everyone who loves you all in one place. where you are shown that you are also one of the best things in this world
it is my goal to capture that
i’d describe my photographic style as editorial mixed with documentary. i like posing when the time is right but often i wait for the moment to occur
as everyone says, candid is best
